Terms of use
Effective 18 October 2026
The short version
- Clarity is a practice tool for speaking at work. It isn’t therapy, medical care or professional advice.
- Feedback and live-call characters come from AI. They can be wrong; use your own judgement.
- Clarity Pro is billed by Apple and renews automatically until you cancel in your Apple ID settings.
- Your practice is yours. You can delete it, and your account, at any time.
1. These terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Meer Habib (“we”, “us”) for your use of the Clarity app and its services. They apply together with Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”), which governs your licence to the app. If the two conflict about your licence to use the app, the Standard EULA wins. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data. By using Clarity, you agree to these terms.
2. Who can use Clarity
You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to consent to data processing where you live. If you’re under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent’s or guardian’s permission, including for any purchase.
3. Your account
Clarity creates an account for you when you first open it, and asks you to sign in with Apple so your practice and subscription are kept safe. You’re responsible for what happens on your account, so keep your device secure. Accounts are for one person.
4. Clarity Pro subscriptions
- Billing. Clarity Pro is sold through the App Store and charged to your Apple ID. The price and billing period are shown in the app before you buy.
- Automatic renewal. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, at the then-current price, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends.
- Free trials. If your plan includes a free trial, it turns into a paid subscription when the trial ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before then.
- Cancelling. Manage or cancel in Settings › your name › Subscriptions on your iPhone. You keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
- Refunds. Apple handles all payments and refunds, under its own policies. You can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Price changes. If the price changes, Apple will tell you in advance and, where required, ask for your agreement.
- One-time purchases. If the app offers Clarity Pro for a single payment, it doesn’t renew, and it lasts for as long as we offer Clarity.
- Deleting your account doesn’t cancel a subscription. Cancel it with Apple as well.
- Fair use. Clarity Pro includes limits, set for personal practice, to keep the service working for everyone. Every plan has daily limits on coach requests, live calls and call minutes, and each live call has a maximum length. Plans longer than a week also have a monthly allowance of live-call minutes, and a free trial includes one live call. The app tells you when a limit is reached and when it resets.
5. Not therapy or advice
Clarity helps you practise speaking. It isn’t therapy, counselling, medical care or a treatment for anxiety, and nothing in it is medical, psychological, legal, career or HR advice. If anxiety is getting in the way of your life, please talk to a doctor or a mental health professional. If you’re in crisis or in danger, contact your local emergency services.
6. AI features
- The coach’s feedback, rewrites, meeting plans and scripts, and the characters on live calls, are generated by AI (OpenAI). They can be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable for your situation.
- Live-call characters are fictional. They aren’t real people and don’t represent anyone you work with.
- You decide what to say and do in your real meetings. Use your own judgement.
7. Your content
Your practice answers, transcripts, notes and scripts (“your content”) belong to you. You give us a limited licence to store, process and send your content to our service providers only to run Clarity for you, as the privacy policy describes. This licence ends when you delete your content, except for copies our providers may keep for a limited time under their policies.
Only enter content you have the right to share. In particular, don’t enter your employer’s or clients’ confidential information unless you’re allowed to.
8. Acceptable use
Please don’t:
- use Clarity to break the law, or to harass, threaten or harm anyone;
- try to get around the paywall, usage limits or security, or interfere with the service;
- copy, resell, or reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows;
- use the AI features to create content that’s unlawful, hateful or sexually explicit, or that otherwise breaks OpenAI’s usage policies.
We may limit or suspend access if these terms are broken. To protect the service, an account that sends far more requests than a person could is paused automatically: for a day the first time, a week the second, and after that until we review it. If you think we’ve paused you by mistake, write to meerhabib200@gmail.com.
9. Our app and content
The app, its drills, scenarios, design, artwork and software belong to us or our licensors. Apart from the licence to use the app, these terms don’t give you any rights in them.
10. Changes and ending
We keep improving Clarity, so features may change, be added or be removed. You can stop using Clarity at any time and delete your account in the app. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if we have to stop offering the service. If we stop offering it altogether, we’ll give you reasonable notice where we can.
11. Disclaimers
We work hard to make Clarity useful and reliable, but we provide it “as is” and “as available”. As far as the law allows, we make no promises that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will produce any particular result, such as a better review, a promotion or less anxiety. Some places don’t allow these disclaimers, so they may not all apply to you. Nothing in these terms affects your rights as a consumer that can’t be limited by contract.
12. Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, opportunities or data, arising from your use of Clarity. Our total liability for any claim relating to Clarity is limited to the amount you paid for Clarity Pro in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can’t be limited by law.
13. Apple
These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple isn’t responsible for Clarity or its content, and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any; Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app. We, not Apple, are responsible for handling any claims about the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, consumer protection, privacy and intellectual property claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
You confirm that you’re not located in a country subject to a US government embargo, or listed on any US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere, you keep the protection of any mandatory consumer laws where you live, and you can bring claims in your local courts.
15. Updates to these terms
We may update these terms. We’ll change the date at the top, and if a change is significant we’ll tell you in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using Clarity after that, the new terms apply.
